Hello Wesgtergard Families,
As we look at the new year, and the possibility of more budget cuts
to our school district, volunteer work becomes more important to our
overall picture. The Education Alliance is giving parents an
excellent opportunity to learn how to improve student achievment. I
would love to see a huge section of Westergard parents at this
summit! Here are the details:

As an educator, author, consultant, parent, and the nation's leading
practitioner in the field of family engagement in education, Dr.
Steve Constantino provides national leadership in engaging families
in the educational lives of children as a conduit to improved
student achievement.
This year's Parent Involvement Summit will focus on the role of
family engagement in student achievement. The Summit will have no
registration fees and is offered in collaboration with Assemblywoman
Debbie Smith, the Nevada State Parent Information & Resource Center
(PIRC) at the Education Alliance, Clark County School District,
Nevada Parent Teacher Association, the Nevada Department of
Education and the Washoe County School District. Sponsored in part
