Message from the Principal:

I am thrilled to be starting a new school year with the team at Westergard Elementary. I enthusiastically accepted this opportunity so that I might contribute my knowledge to the Washoe County School District program and curriculum, to maximize the student learning experience.

I believe all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. It is my philosophy that an educator's mission is to make school enjoyable and exciting—if students look forward to attending school, they will want to learn.

The team at Westergard is looking forward to working with you so that your child may develop new talents, skills and abilities this year. We love working in education and will do our best to help your child reach his or her fullest potential.

Parents are the most important part of your child's educational and emotional development. Together we can make learning a positive experience!
